Troyce Thome began her study of the internal arts when she was 17 years old, practicing yoga on the beaches of Kauai. During this time she also began exploring ancient Chinese texts and Taoist philosophies. Since that time she has continued to merge her love of yoga and Taoist philosophies with the Internal Chinese Arts of QiGong and Tai Chi Chuan.

She has shared her love of these arts with many students of all ages, leading several groups to China to study Tai Chi and Kung Fu in Deng Fung City (home of the Shaolin Temple), and to the Taoist Temples in Wudang mountains to study Qi Gong and Wudang Sword.

She has studied with some of the foremost Tai Chi and Qigong teachers in the United States and abroad and was one of the first Master Trainers in the United States, being trained by Dr. Paul Lam in the Tai Chi for Arthritis Program. This Tai Chi Program has since been adapted by the Arthritis Foundation USA as it's official Tai Chi form. She travels extensively throughout the United States, bringing this Tai Chi Exercise Program to the many individuals who want to become instructors of this safe and gentle form of exercise, which helps to improve the lives of those who suffer from arthritis.
