Troyce Thome began her study of the internal arts when she was 17 years old, practicing yoga on the beaches of Kauai. During this time she also began exploring ancient Chinese texts and Taoist philosophies. Since that time she has continued to merge her love of yoga and Taoist philosophies with the Internal Chinese Arts of QiGong and Taijiquan. She has shared her love of these arts with many students of all ages, leading several groups to China to study Taiji and Kung Fu in Deng Fung City (home of the Shaolin Temple), and to the Taoist Temples in Wudang mountains to study Qi Gong and Wudang Sword.
She has studied with some of the foremost Taiji and Qigong teachers in the United States and abroad. She was one of the first Master Trainers for Dr. Paul Lam in the United States, being trained by Dr. Paul Lam in the Tai Chi for Arthritis Program (see www.taichiforarthritis.com ). She now travels extensively throughout the United States, bringing this Tai Chi Exercise Program to the many individuals who want to become instructors of this safe and gentle form of exercise.
Troyce also studies Traditional Sun Taiji with Tim Cartmell. Tim is the translator of Sun LuTang’s A Study of Taijiquan and MMA coach of Team Shen Wu, see www.ShenWu.com for more information. Troyce also studies Chen Style with Master Chen Bing www.chenbing.org . Chen Bing is 6 time national push hands champion in China and nephew of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang.
Troyce currently teaches Tai Chi for Arthritis, Traditional Sun Taiji and Chen 19 Form (designed by Chen Xiaowang) at Saddleback Community College. For more information about these classes please visit www.saddleback.edu

She also is on the counseling staff at Able to Change Recovery www.Abletochangerecovery.com sharing the art of Taiji and Qigong as a technique to quiet the mind and begin the recovery process from drug and alcohol abuse.
