Troyce Thome began her exploration of the mind/body arts with the study of yoga and meditation when she was 17 on the beautiful garden island of Kauai. During this time she also became fascinated with Taoist philosophy and Chinese culture, which led her in time to the study of taijiquan. For the past 20 years she has been so fortunate as to have studied with some of the most talented and influential taijiquan teachers in the USA and China, among them: Tim Cartmell, Chen Xiao Wang, Chen Bing, Dr. Paul Lam and Zhong Xuechao.
Troyce has organized several study groups to China to learn Taijiquan and Kung Fu. She studied Kung Fu in Deng Fung City (home of the Shaolin Temple) and Chen Style Taijiquan in Chen Village with Chen Bing, (visit www.chenbing.org ). She also studied QiGong in Wudang Mountains at Zhong Xuechao’s school in Wudangshan. Wudangshan is the home of the oldest and most recognized Taoist Temples in China (visit www.wudangdao.com).
