In 1997, Dr Paul Lam, a family physician and tai chi master, led a team of tai chi experts and medical specialists to create this unique program for people with sensitive joints. This program was introduced to the Arthritis Foundation USA in April 2000 and has since been widely taught throughout the United States around the world as a safe and effective form of exercise.
The Arthritis Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions.
